You have extensive experience in product design, particularly in creating and refining design systems — your portfolio showcases your ability to lead visual evolution and operational excellence in design. You are a systems thinker who understands the importance of cohesive strategy in building and scaling design frameworks. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that user experiences are seamless across platforms.
You possess a strong command of design tools, particularly Figma, and have a keen eye for detail — your designs not only meet user needs but also elevate the overall brand experience. You are comfortable navigating the complexities of visual language and governance, and you thrive in remote-first environments where communication and collaboration are key.
What you'll do
As a Staff Product Designer at Affirm, you will be responsible for the strategic architecture of the Design System — this involves defining and growing the logic and token strategy that powers Affirm's products. You will lead the refinement of the visual language, ensuring that it aligns with the brand's values and enhances user engagement. Your role will require you to deeply understand user experiences across Web, iOS, and Android platforms, working to remove discrepancies and ensure a native feel for each.
You will collaborate with various teams to author and implement design guidelines that promote operational excellence — your insights will help shape the future of Affirm's design approach. You will also mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
