Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in infrastructure software engineering, particularly with identity and authentication systems. Your background includes working with large-scale distributed systems, and you have a strong understanding of API design and data migrations. You are proficient in Python and Go, and you have hands-on experience with identity protocols such as OAuth, SSO, OIDC, SAML, MFA, and RBAC. You are a natural collaborator, able to communicate effectively with product engineering teams and mentor junior engineers. You have a bias for action and a commitment to delivering high-quality work while fostering an inclusive team culture.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms and services is a plus, as is familiarity with DevOps practices. You are comfortable leading technical discussions and providing feedback to ensure software excellence. Your ability to navigate complex projects and align with company values makes you a strong candidate for this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the re-architecture of Dropbox's Identity systems to support its transition to a multi-product company. You will collaborate with various internal teams to implement wide-ranging use cases, ensuring that the identity platform evolves to meet the needs of the business. You will provide technical leadership to your team, guiding them through the design and implementation of foundational work that enhances operational ease. Your responsibilities will include overseeing phased data migrations and persistent storage design, as well as ensuring that the architecture aligns with the company's strategic goals. You will mentor junior engineers, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team. Your role will also involve cultivating a collaborative culture, championing team members, and upholding Dropbox's values.
