You are a curious individual with a strong interest in AI-powered tools and experimentation. You have experience working on research projects, whether through academic coursework or personal initiatives, and can share a work sample that demonstrates your research thinking or approach. You are eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment, receiving mentorship from experienced researchers.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively present your findings and insights to cross-functional stakeholders. Your ability to work independently and manage your time will be crucial as you navigate your responsibilities during this internship. You are adaptable and open to feedback, ready to refine your research questions and methodologies based on guidance from your team.
What you'll do
As a Research and Insights Intern, you will partner with researchers and product teams to identify and refine research questions related to AI-powered user workflows. You may own a scoped qualitative research project or support ongoing research initiatives, depending on business needs. Your contributions will help inform product direction, user experience, and engagement for AI features at Dropbox.
You will engage in hands-on research, utilizing tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude to gather insights. Your work will culminate in clear insights and actionable recommendations for product partners, enhancing the overall user experience. Throughout the internship, you will have opportunities to present your work and insights to various stakeholders, building your professional network within the company.
What we offer
This full-time internship spans 12 weeks, with two start dates available: May 26 - August 14, 2026, or June 30 - September 18, 2026. You will be part of Dropbox's Virtual First work culture, connecting with colleagues virtually and in-person to foster a strong professional network. Additionally, you will have the chance to attend the Emerging Talent Summit, where you can build relationships and explore learning and development opportunities to prepare for your career journey ahead. The compensation for this internship ranges from $7,000 to $8,000 USD for the summer.
