Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and secure solutions. Your experience includes working with major cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS), and you are well-versed in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. You are also familiar with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and have a solid understanding of CI/CD practices.

You possess excellent technical leadership skills and enjoy mentoring other engineers, guiding them through complex challenges while fostering a collaborative team environment. Your ability to engage with clients allows you to understand their technical and business needs, ensuring that the solutions you deliver are effective and aligned with their goals.

You have a proactive approach to security and compliance, implementing best practices within the infrastructure to safeguard sensitive data and maintain auditability. Your software development experience, particularly with Terraform and Python, complements your infrastructure expertise, enabling you to create robust and maintainable systems.

Desirable

Certifications such as Kubernetes Certified Administrator or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect would be a plus, showcasing your commitment to professional development and expertise in cloud technologies.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the scalability, availability, and security requirements of our clients. You will develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring that our infrastructure is both maintainable and repeatable at an enterprise scale. Your work will involve utilizing Kubernetes deployment tools like Helm and Kustomize, along with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, to manage containerized applications effectively.

You will also be responsible for designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, focusing on rolling deployments, canaries, and blue/green deployments to enhance the deployment process. Ensuring the observability and auditability of pipeline states will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will implementing security best practices and compliance requirements within the infrastructure.

As a technical leader, you will provide mentorship and training to engineering staff, helping them grow their skills and knowledge in cloud infrastructure. Engaging with clients to understand their technical and business requirements will be essential, as you will need to deliver effective solutions that align with their needs.
