What you'll do

As the Infrastructure Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the infrastructure that supports identity, access, and shared platform services across OpenAI. You will own the infrastructure and identity systems end to end, ensuring they are reliable, secure, and scalable.

You will set the direction for the team, establishing strong foundations and evolving infrastructure practices to meet the company's growing needs. Your role will involve defining policies, managing upgrades, and ensuring recovery processes are in place to maintain operational integrity.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to remove operational friction and enable faster, more confident movement across the organization. Your expertise will help enforce security by default, ensuring that all systems are built with security as a priority.
