You have a strong background in quality assurance with a focus on infrastructure observability — your experience includes leading QA efforts and defining quality strategies for software products. You are skilled in performing exploratory testing and providing actionable feedback to product teams, ensuring that applications meet high-quality standards before release.
You are familiar with various software platforms and have experience in configuring and deploying them to send data to observability stacks — your hands-on approach allows you to identify undesirable behaviors in applications effectively. You have a knack for analyzing testing strategies and recommending improvements that enhance the overall quality assurance process.
You excel in coordinating between release management and product teams — your ability to communicate effectively ensures that products are fit for release and meet user expectations. You are also experienced in collaborating with other QA teams to standardize quality strategies across the organization, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and shape quality assurance efforts across the Observability line of business at Elastic. You will perform exploratory testing against recent builds of the application, providing feedback to product teams on any undesirable behavior you encounter. Your work will involve configuring and deploying a variety of software platforms, instrumenting them to send data to the Elastic Stack.
You will analyze the testing strategies employed by various teams and recommend specific improvements to enhance the quality of the products. Additionally, you will coordinate with release management and product teams to determine the fitness of the product prior to release, ensuring that all aspects of quality are addressed.
You will participate in coordination efforts with other quality assurance teams across the organization, working to standardize on quality strategies that benefit the entire company. Your leadership will help to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement, ensuring that Elastic's products meet the high standards expected by users.
