Who you are

You have a strong background in frontend development, particularly with Next.js and TypeScript, and you understand the importance of user experience in building effective applications. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a mission-driven team focused on improving reasoning and decision-making through AI. Your experience with Tailwind CSS allows you to create visually appealing and responsive designs that enhance user interaction. You are familiar with backend technologies like Node.js and Python, which helps you understand the full stack and collaborate effectively with backend engineers. You appreciate the value of static type checking and have experience working with Kubernetes for deploying applications in a cloud environment. You are proficient in using GitHub for version control and collaboration, ensuring that your code is well-managed and integrated with the team's workflow.

Desirable

Experience with cloud infrastructure and a passion for AI technologies would be a plus, as Elicit is at the forefront of AI research assistance. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

As a Frontend Engineer at Elicit, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing the user interface of our AI research assistant. You will work closely with product managers and designers to implement new features that improve user engagement and satisfaction. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code using Next.js and TypeScript, ensuring that the application is both functional and user-friendly. You will also collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the frontend and backend systems. Your contributions will directly impact the speed and quality of our product releases, helping us meet the growing demand from our users. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
