Who you are

You are an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in designing and building scalable infrastructure. You have a solid understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS, and are proficient in using Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration. Your experience with Linux systems allows you to manage and optimize server performance effectively.

You thrive in collaborative environments and have experience working with global teams. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring smooth deployment processes. You are familiar with infrastructure as code practices, particularly using Terraform, to automate and manage infrastructure efficiently.

Desirable

Experience with air-gapped cloud environments or private clouds is a plus. You are passionate about continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, and you understand the importance of monitoring and alerting systems to maintain high availability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and building Ema's platform and infrastructure as the company scales its product and user base. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems while focusing on service architecture and deployment. Your responsibilities will include implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process and enhance operational efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Your expertise in cloud technologies will be essential in managing resources effectively and ensuring that the infrastructure can handle increasing loads as the user base grows.

You will also be responsible for maintaining security best practices within the infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are compliant with industry standards. Your role will involve regular assessments of the infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
