Who you are

You are an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in designing and building scalable infrastructure. With at least 5 years of experience in the field, you have a deep understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS, and are proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Your expertise in Linux systems administration allows you to manage and optimize server environments effectively.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are adept at implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes. Your experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform enables you to automate deployments and manage resources efficiently. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.

Desirable

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is a plus, as is experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash. You are also knowledgeable about security best practices in cloud environments and have a keen interest in optimizing costs associated with cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and building Ema's platform and infrastructure as the company scales its product and user base. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of systems while focusing on service architecture and deployment strategies. Your responsibilities will include implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud resources, and collaborating with software engineers to optimize application performance.

You will also be responsible for monitoring system health and performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system reliability. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the DevOps practice within the organization.
