Overview
Emids is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead automation testing efforts. You'll work with BDD frameworks, Web API testing, and UI test automation using Selenium with C#. This role requires 5+ years of experience in automation testing.
Job Description
Who you are
You are a highly skilled Senior Automation Tester with over 5 years of experience in automation testing. Your expertise lies in BDD frameworks, particularly with Gherkin and SpecFlow, allowing you to design and maintain feature files for both API and UI testing effectively. You have a strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, ensuring that testing strategies align with development processes.
Your technical skills include proficiency in Web API testing using tools like Postman and Swagger, which you utilize to enhance and maintain existing API automation frameworks. You are committed to achieving 100% automation coverage for Web APIs by designing and executing robust automated tests. Additionally, you have experience in UI automation, developing and maintaining automation scripts for web UI using Selenium with C# and SpecFlow.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with developers to improve and expand existing automation frameworks. Your ability to identify gaps in current UI automation coverage allows you to create comprehensive tests that meet target coverage goals. You are also adept at guiding junior testers in automation best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing BDD by designing and maintaining feature files using Gherkin syntax. You will develop step definitions in SpecFlow for test scenarios, ensuring reusability and maintainability across the testing framework. Your role will involve performing Web API testing and enhancing the existing API automation framework built with SpecFlow.
You will collaborate with QA and development teams to define test strategies and priorities, participating in sprint ceremonies such as backlog refinement and sprint planning. Your contributions will ensure seamless integration of BDD features with the test framework, aligning testing efforts with evolving business requirements.
You will also track and report test results, providing insights into the quality of the software being developed. Your experience with CI/CD pipelines will be crucial as you integrate automated tests into deployment workflows, ensuring that quality is maintained throughout the development lifecycle.
