You are passionate about making a positive impact in the climate solution space and have a strong understanding of energy efficiency and distributed energy resources. Your technical prowess allows you to influence the direction of software development while ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to mentoring and developing your team.

Desirable

Experience in the energy sector or with climate solutions would be a plus, as would familiarity with performance-based software solutions. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and have a track record of delivering high-impact software platforms for diverse clients.

What you'll do

In this strategic leadership role, you will manage a department of approximately 35 software developers, guiding them in the development of reusable software solutions that support energy efficiency programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that the software solutions are architecturally sound and meet the needs of our utility, government, and institutional customers.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned. Your role will involve regular communication with senior management to report on project progress and address any challenges that arise. You will also be instrumental in shaping the technical vision and strategy for the software engineering team, ensuring that it aligns with the overall goals of EnergySolutions.

As a technical influencer, you will advocate for best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and deployment processes. You will lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Your leadership will help cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
