Who you are

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You understand the importance of quality control and are willing to assist in conducting QC testing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. You are proactive in analyzing equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to produce desired throughput and quality results.

You are familiar with reviewing work order specifications or instructions to determine materials, ingredients, and procedures necessary for producing pellets. You have the ability to adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures, ensuring that the production process runs smoothly. You are comfortable monitoring machine operations and observing indicator lights and gauges to detect malfunctions, demonstrating your technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do

In this role, you will perform and document required inspections of equipment, maintaining it in good condition to ensure consistent production quality. You will coordinate maintenance on equipment per job instructions and perform housekeeping to required standards. Your responsibilities will include adjusting machine components to regulate the flow of materials and ingredients, as well as monitoring operations to ensure compliance with safety procedures. You will be expected to follow all workplace and job safety procedures diligently, contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

You will also be involved in performing ash tests and assisting in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, which will require you to work closely with your team to ensure that production goals are met. Your role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality that Enviva is known for, and you will play a key part in the company's mission to deliver sustainable wood bioenergy solutions.
