Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience designing applications, showcasing your expertise in user-centered design principles and platform interface guidelines. Your proficiency with design software such as Figma and Sketch allows you to create high-fidelity visuals that are consistent across apps and conform to platform conventions. You excel in producing diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs, ensuring a seamless user experience. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to effectively organize and convey conceptual ideas and design rationale to the wider development team. You are passionate about collaboration, working closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience. You thrive in participatory and iterative design environments, facilitating design exercises that encourage team engagement and creativity.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of design work from brainstorming and sketching to prototyping and implementation. You will collaborate with a brilliant team of designers, developers, and product experts to advance Esri's flagship mobile app, ArcGIS Field Maps, on both iOS and Android platforms. Your responsibilities will include producing high-fidelity visuals that align with platform conventions and effectively communicating design concepts to the development team. You will facilitate design exercises that promote participatory design techniques, ensuring that all team members contribute to the design process. Additionally, you will work closely with design and product leadership to help shape the future direction of Esri's field applications, making a significant impact on mobile GIS technology.
