Who you are

You have extensive experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong focus on maintaining and improving infrastructure performance. Your background includes working with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure, and you are well-versed in container orchestration using Kubernetes. You understand the importance of incident response and have a proven track record of driving effective solutions to complex issues.

You are proficient in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and ArgoCD, enabling you to automate deployments and manage infrastructure efficiently. Your experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana allows you to maintain high availability and performance standards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams, product managers, and support staff to deliver reliable data solutions.

Desirable

Experience with Temporal Cloud platform is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD practices. You are comfortable in hybrid work settings, balancing remote flexibility with in-person collaboration.

What you'll do

As a Senior Staff Site Reliability Engineer at Fivetran, you will take ownership of the overall performance and reliability of our infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain data pipelines that power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. Your role will involve enhancing the robustness of our deployment pipeline and ensuring timely incident response and resolution.

You will be responsible for driving effective incident management practices and overall issue avoidance, contributing to the growth and stability of Fivetran’s infrastructure. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of reliability within the team.
