Job Description
Who you are
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience designing production-ready electronics — you can share a portfolio that demonstrates your skills and experience. You love to design and build boards from the ground up, developing firmware to control complex electromechanical systems. You apply a scientific approach to engineering design problems by creating experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and making informed decisions. You are eager to grow into owning system-level architecture and mentoring other engineers, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Desirable
Experience with 3D printing technology or related fields would be a plus, as well as familiarity with industry standards and practices in electrical engineering. A background in working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions is also desirable.
What you'll do
At Formlabs, you will design and build prototypes and production electronic systems, including circuit design and PCB layout. You will engage in embedded firmware development, bringing up and validating complex systems. Your role will involve designing sensing and motion systems from scratch when off-the-shelf options have proven unsuitable. You will collaborate with other engineers to ensure that the systems you develop meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. Your contributions will directly impact how the world creates, as you work on cutting-edge products and life-saving medical devices.
What we offer
Formlabs provides a competitive compensation package, including equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance to your impact. The annual base pay range for this role is $115,000—$160,000 USD. We foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, where you will be part of a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators. Join us in shaping the future of fabrication and making a difference in the world.
