Who you are

You have a user-focused mindset and a strong technical background in embedded systems. Your experience includes designing, building, testing, and shipping development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers. You are proficient in C and C++, and have a solid understanding of embedded Linux environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with product managers and designers to ensure the right features are built for customers. You are committed to code reusability, maintainability, and testing, with a strong focus on continuous integration practices. You understand the importance of firmware in connecting software, hardware, and electronics, especially in the context of 3D printing technology.

Desirable

Experience with 3D printing technology or similar hardware-software integration projects is a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control systems like Git will help you succeed in this role. A background in working with cross-functional teams will enhance your ability to contribute effectively.

What you'll do

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Formlabs, you will design, build, test, and ship code for new printer features that will be deployed to tens of thousands of devices in the field. You will collaborate with R&D engineers to develop tools that enhance the functionality of our 3D printers. Your role will involve ensuring that the firmware you create is robust and efficient, enabling seamless integration with hardware components. You will also focus on maintaining high standards of code quality through rigorous testing and continuous integration practices.
