Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a passion for building hardware and a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical engineering principles. You thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy working on prototypes that push the boundaries of 3D printing technology. Your experience includes fabricating high-quality mechanical parts and performing board-level rework on PCB assemblies. You are detail-oriented and skilled in using tools like calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to inspect and test components. You are eager to collaborate with a team of engineers and innovators to shape the future of fabrication.
Desirable
Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD is a plus, as is familiarity with electrical cabling and PCB assembly. You may also have experience in rapid prototyping and testing methodologies, which will help you excel in this role.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Technician at Formlabs, you will be responsible for building and modifying prototypes of next-generation 3D printers and accessory equipment. You will fabricate and machine high-quality mechanical parts quickly and efficiently, ensuring that prototypes meet design specifications. Your role will involve performing board-level rework on PCB assemblies and creating or modifying custom electrical cabling to support various projects. You will set up and conduct engineering tests to validate the performance of prototypes, collaborating closely with engineers throughout the development process. Your contributions will directly impact the future of 3D printing technology, allowing you to see your work come to life in innovative products.

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $55,000—$72,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
