You have experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, and are comfortable fabricating mechanical parts quickly and efficiently. Your technical skills include working with PCB assemblies and creating custom electrical cabling. You are familiar with inspection tools such as CMM, calipers, and multimeters, which you use to ensure that parts meet specifications. You are eager to learn and grow in your role, contributing to the development of cutting-edge 3D printing technology.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Technician at Formlabs, you will be responsible for building and modifying prototypes of next-generation 3D printers and accessory equipment. You will fabricate and machine high-quality mechanical parts rapidly, ensuring that prototypes are ready for testing and evaluation. Your role will involve performing board-level rework on PCB assemblies and creating or modifying custom electrical cabling to meet project requirements.

You will set up and perform engineering tests to validate the functionality and performance of prototypes. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you inspect parts using various measurement tools to ensure they meet quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members throughout the development process, contributing your insights and expertise to improve designs and processes.
