You are a hands-on technician with a passion for 3D printing technology and a desire to empower customers. You thrive in a role that requires extensive travel, as you will be on-site at customer locations 80% of the time. Your experience includes installation and commissioning of technical equipment, and you have a knack for teaching others how to use complex machinery effectively. You are not just fixing machines; you are enhancing the customer experience by providing comprehensive training and support. You understand the importance of customer satisfaction and are dedicated to ensuring that clients can maximize the potential of their 3D printing systems.
You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to convey technical information clearly and effectively to customers with varying levels of expertise. You are adaptable and can think on your feet, troubleshooting issues as they arise during installations or training sessions. Your technical background equips you with the knowledge needed to perform critical repairs and maintenance on 3D printers, ensuring they operate at peak performance. What you'll do
As a Field Service Technician at Formlabs, you will be the primary technical point of contact for customers across the DACH region. Your responsibilities will include traveling to customer sites to unpack, install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems. You will conduct structured on-site training sessions for new and existing customers, teaching them how to operate the machinery, utilize software, and perform basic maintenance. Your role will also involve performing live product demonstrations to inspire confidence in the technology and ensure customers feel comfortable using their new systems.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the customer's on-site experience, from installation to ongoing support. This includes troubleshooting any issues that arise during the installation process and providing timely solutions to ensure minimal disruption to the customer's operations. You will work closely with the engineering team to relay customer feedback and insights, helping to improve product offerings and customer satisfaction. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients will be key to your success in this role, as you will be seen as the face of Formlabs in the field.
