Who you are
You have a solid background in engineering, particularly in hardware compliance, and are familiar with industrial product regulations. Your experience allows you to identify relevant standards and translate guidelines into actionable engineering requirements. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle. You possess strong analytical skills that enable you to review product designs effectively and ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards. You are detail-oriented and have a strategic mindset, allowing you to navigate varying regulatory landscapes across different geographies. You are eager to further develop your regulatory, quality, and project management skills in a hands-on role.
Desirable
Experience in 3D printing technology or related fields would be a plus, as would familiarity with international compliance standards. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation in hardware design will set you apart in this role.
What you'll do
As a Hardware Compliance Engineer at Formlabs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our printers meet the necessary safety and regulatory standards in over 40 countries. You will partner with various teams to establish and execute compliance certification strategies during new product introductions and market expansions. Your responsibilities will include leveraging your knowledge of industrial product regulations to identify relevant standards and translating those into engineering requirements. You will review product designs for compliance, ensuring that all aspects of our hardware meet the required guidelines. You will also engage in continuous learning about evolving regulations and standards to keep our products compliant. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to address compliance challenges and contribute to the overall success of our product offerings.
What we offer
At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
