Formlabs is seeking a Supplier Industrialization Engineer to enhance supplier capabilities and improve product quality. You'll work closely with R&D and suppliers to streamline processes and optimize supply chain strategies.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering and supply chain management, with experience in supplier qualification and negotiation. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to facilitate technical discussions between suppliers and internal teams. Your passion for optimization drives you to research new manufacturing technologies and develop robust supply chain strategies. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of fabrication.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work directly with R&D to identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductions. You will own the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) in a New Product Introduction (NPI) Bill of Materials (BOM), managing supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution to secure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation. You will facilitate communication of technical requirements between suppliers and the Formlabs R&D team, ensuring alignment on project goals. Additionally, you will proactively research new manufacturing technologies and market intelligence to create robust supply chain strategies that enhance product performance and reliability.
