You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanism and mechatronic product design, contributing to the system architecture of products. Your background includes a strong understanding of 3D printing technologies and the ability to innovate new ways of doing things. You are skilled in research and testing new ideas, converting them into functional prototypes, and collaborating with design engineers to finalize designs for manufacturing. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with R&D teams to drive product development forward. Your portfolio showcases your ability to create impactful designs that enhance user experience and functionality.
Desirable
Experience with CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing processes will be beneficial. A passion for 3D printing and a desire to shape the future of fabrication will set you apart. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges and finding creative solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join a dynamic R&D team at Formlabs, working closely with top-tier engineers to develop the Formlabs printing process. You will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and implementation of new products, ensuring that they meet the high standards of quality and innovation that Formlabs is known for. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with design teams to move 3D printing technology forward, conducting thorough research to inform design decisions, and testing prototypes to refine product functionality. You will also partner with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are feasible and can be produced efficiently. Your contributions will directly impact the success of new products, helping to bring transformative solutions to market.

The annual base pay for this role ranges from $120,000 to $175,000 USD, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
