Who you are
You have 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanism and mechatronic product design, contributing to the system architecture of products. Your background includes a strong understanding of 3D printing technology and its applications in various industries. You are skilled in researching and testing new ideas, converting them into functional prototypes, and collaborating with design engineers to finalize designs for manufacturing. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are driven by innovation and great product development.
Desirable
Experience with CAD software and familiarity with manufacturing processes will be advantageous. A portfolio showcasing your previous work will help demonstrate your capabilities and design philosophy. You are comfortable working cross-functionally and have a systems thinking approach to problem-solving.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join a dynamic R&D team, working closely with top-tier mechatronics, software, and systems engineers. You will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and implementation of new products that leverage Formlabs' cutting-edge 3D printing technology. Your responsibilities will include innovating new ways of doing things, collaborating with design teams, and ensuring that new products meet market needs and quality standards. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing, ensuring that designs are not only functional but also manufacturable at scale.
You will also be responsible for conducting thorough testing and validation of prototypes, gathering feedback from users, and iterating on designs based on real-world performance. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving projects forward and ensuring alignment on product goals. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of fabrication and contribute to the success of Formlabs' innovative product offerings.
What we offer
At Formlabs, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $175,000 USD annually, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
