Who you are
You are an R&D Engineer with a strong background in mechanical and systems engineering, eager to contribute to the development of cutting-edge 3D printing technologies. You thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment and enjoy tackling complex engineering challenges. Your experience includes creating innovative solutions and validating new techniques in the realm of 3D printing. You are a systems thinker who can evaluate current printer performance and identify areas for improvement. You have a passion for experimentation and using data to inform your engineering decisions. You are excited about the opportunity to work closely with other engineering teams to research next-generation printers and materials.
What you'll do
In this role, you will create new 3D printing techniques, developing new printer architectures and validating changes in Galvo control. You will have the opportunity to investigate new technologies and tackle complex, open-ended problems across multiple engineering disciplines. Your work will involve performing experiments and using the results to inform and develop improvements in both software and hardware. You will evaluate current printer performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that enhance the overall printing process. Collaboration with other engineers will be key as you contribute to the development and maintenance of the Formlabs printing process.

We offer a competitive base pay range of $90,000—$120,000 USD, which is determined based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and expected impact on the organization.
