Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in robotic systems integration, with expertise in both firmware and hardware components. Your experience includes working with electro-mechanical systems, and you understand how to bring prototypes through integration challenges to ensure optimal performance. You are proficient in programming languages such as C and C++, and you have hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems. Your ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams makes you an asset in any project.
You are detail-oriented and have a knack for managing system-level requirements. You take ownership of your work and are comfortable defining and refining control algorithms. Your experience with AutoCAD allows you to create and document visual descriptions of systems and subsystems effectively. You thrive in environments that require continuous learning and adaptation, and you are eager to contribute to innovative projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for integrating firmware and hardware components of robotic systems, ensuring that they function together seamlessly. You will partner with system architects to establish interfaces between subsystems and document their inputs and outputs. Your role will involve designing test plans to validate subsystem requirements and managing changes throughout the product development cycle. You will collaborate closely with design teams to overcome challenges and ensure that quality products are shipped.
You will also engage in early R&D efforts, contributing to the development of new technologies and solutions that push the boundaries of 3D printing. Your work will directly impact the success of Formlabs' products in the field, and you will be instrumental in driving improvements based on user feedback and performance data. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge with the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
