Who you are
You have a strong background in robotics engineering, with experience in designing and deploying robotic systems that utilize articulated robot arms and sensors. Your expertise in ROS2 allows you to build production-quality implementations that enhance robotic control and functionality. You are skilled in algorithm development and path planning, enabling you to optimize robotic operations for inspection and defect mitigation.
You possess a deep understanding of sensor technologies and their applications in manufacturing environments. Your ability to develop closed-loop control systems demonstrates your commitment to improving quality and safety in robotic installations. You are adept at performing system bring-up, calibrations, and tuning, ensuring that robotic systems operate at peak performance.
What you'll do
In this role, you will advance Gecko Robotics from semi-automated methods to fully automated robotic installations at customer sites. You will develop systems that reduce manufacturing span and enhance customer knowledge about their products. Your work will involve building a production-quality ROS2 implementation for controlling robotic systems, enabling perception-based path planning and optimization through careful sensor selection and algorithm development.
You will also be responsible for developing closed-loop inspect, rework, inspect control loops, which are crucial for maintaining high standards in manufacturing processes. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and safety of operations, promoting mission readiness and protecting the environment from infrastructure failures.
