Overview
Forum Ventures is hiring a Chief of Staff for their Private AI team to serve as the operational backbone for the Managing Partner and CEO. You'll manage the CEO's operational infrastructure and contribute to team coordination. This role is ideal for someone with early-stage software experience in a startup environment.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in operations, ideally with experience in early-stage software companies — you thrive on bringing order to chaos and building systems that scale. You understand the demands of a startup environment and are eager to grow alongside a company at the forefront of AI. You possess excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. You are proactive in your approach, taking initiative to implement systems that enhance productivity and communication within the organization.
You are comfortable with a hands-on role that requires you to engage with various teams and stakeholders — your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships is key to your success. You have a knack for managing calendars and inboxes, ensuring that the CEO's time is optimized for high-leverage work. You are detail-oriented and can create and maintain standard operating procedures for recurring tasks, contributing to a more efficient workflow.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the operational infrastructure for the CEO, managing their calendar architecture and ensuring that meetings are scheduled effectively. You will implement an email management system that allows for efficient triage and prioritization of communications. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining SOPs for various operational tasks, such as travel arrangements, vendor management, and meeting preparation. You will serve as the primary point of contact between the CEO and internal teams, facilitating communication and ensuring that all parties are aligned.
You will have the autonomy to shape the role as you grow into it, allowing you to make a significant impact on the organization. Your contributions will help free up executive capacity, enabling leadership to focus on strategic initiatives. You will also play a role in enhancing the company's social media presence and external communications, ensuring that the organization's voice is consistent and impactful. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can contribute to building critical infrastructure for the AI era.
What we offer
You will join a team that is dedicated to building something meaningful, not just another SaaS product. The role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to balance onsite and remote work effectively. You will have the chance to grow alongside the company, taking on new challenges and responsibilities as the organization expands. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important as your background.
