You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in C, and possess strong instincts for code review. You can quickly identify logic errors, performance traps, and security issues, demonstrating extreme attention to detail. Your excellent written communication skills are essential, as much of this role involves explaining the rationale behind your evaluations and recommendations. You thrive in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment and enjoy reading documentation and language specifications.

While prior experience with Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) or AI training is not required, your ability to review and critique code clearly will be crucial. You are eager to learn and adapt, ready to embrace new challenges in the realm of AI and software engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help train large-language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code across various programming languages. Your responsibilities will include comparing and ranking multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why. You will also repair and refactor AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style, injecting feedback into the RLHF pipeline to ensure it runs smoothly. Your contributions will directly impact how the model learns to propose, critique, and improve code, aligning it with industry standards.

You will work closely with a team of engineers, providing insights and evaluations that will guide the development of AI capabilities. Your role will involve generating code, ranking it, and justifying your decisions, which will be converted into reward signals for the reinforcement learning process. This collaborative environment will allow you to leverage your expertise while learning from others.

What we offer

G2i Inc. offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $70/hr, depending on your location and seniority, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and the potential for up to 40 hours. This position is structured as a 1099 contract, providing flexibility and straightforward impact without unnecessary fluff.
