You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in Python — your strong code-review instincts allow you to quickly spot logic errors, performance traps, and security issues. You possess extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills, which are crucial for explaining why one coding approach is better than another. You thrive in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment and enjoy reading documentation and language specifications.

While prior experience with Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) or deep machine learning knowledge is not required, your ability to review and critique code clearly will be essential in this role. You are eager to learn and adapt, ready to dive into the world of AI training and model improvement.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help train large-language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code across various programming languages. Your responsibilities will include comparing and ranking multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why. You will also repair and refactor AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style, ensuring that the model learns to propose, critique, and improve code effectively.

You will inject feedback, including ratings, edits, and test results, into the RLHF pipeline, keeping it running smoothly. Your contributions will directly impact the model's ability to generate high-quality code, as you will be involved in the entire feedback loop that tunes the model toward code that is ready for production.

What we offer

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $70/hr, depending on your location and seniority, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and the potential for up to 40 hours.
