Who you are

You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in C# — your strong code-review instincts allow you to quickly spot logic errors, performance traps, and security issues. You possess extreme attention to detail and excellent written communication skills, which are essential for explaining why one coding approach is better than another. You enjoy reading documentation and language specifications, thriving in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment. While prior experience in reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) or deep machine learning is not required, your ability to review and critique code clearly will be invaluable in this role.

Desirable

Experience with constraint programming is a bonus, but not required. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, and you are comfortable working in a remote setting where collaboration is key.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help train large-language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code across various programming languages. You will compare and rank multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why. Your responsibilities will include repairing and refactoring AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style. You will inject feedback, such as ratings, edits, and test results, into the RLHF pipeline, ensuring it runs smoothly. The end goal is to enable the model to learn how to propose, critique, and improve code in a manner similar to expert engineers.

You will work closely with a team of engineers, contributing to the development of a robust AI system that enhances coding practices. Your insights will directly impact the quality of code generated by the AI, making your role crucial in the overall success of the project. You will also engage in discussions about best practices in coding and contribute to the continuous improvement of the AI training process.

What we offer

G2i Inc. provides a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $70/hr, depending on your location and seniority, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and the option to work up to 40 hours. This is a 1099 contract position, offering straightforward impact without unnecessary fluff.
