You have senior-level backend engineering experience, with a strong focus on designing and maintaining scalable systems. You are comfortable owning backend architecture and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions in production environments. Your expertise in Kubernetes allows you to architect, deploy, and manage services effectively, ensuring system reliability and performance.

You possess deep knowledge of Node.js and have experience optimizing backend systems for constrained environments, such as Smart TVs. Your familiarity with Apache Cassandra enables you to model data effectively while ensuring performance and reliability. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with product and engineering leadership to deliver impactful features.

You are a pragmatic problem-solver who values strong engineering fundamentals. You enjoy showcasing the real-world impact of the systems you've built and are excited about contributing to next-generation gaming experiences. Your communication skills allow you to clearly articulate technical decisions and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with consumer-facing applications is a plus, as is familiarity with gaming technologies. You are open to using AI tools in your engineering work and are eager to share your past projects during interviews.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js. You will architect, deploy, and manage services running on Kubernetes, ensuring they meet the performance and reliability standards required for consumer-facing gaming applications. Your responsibilities will include optimizing backend systems for environments with constrained hardware, such as Smart TVs, and collaborating closely with product and engineering leadership to deliver features end-to-end.

You will ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability in production, actively participating in discussions about technical decisions and tradeoffs. Your hands-on approach will allow you to take ownership of backend architecture while working closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
