Functional Support Analyst • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a background in finance or technology, ideally with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, or Economics. You possess strong communication skills that enable you to interface effectively with users and technical teams. Your experience includes supporting trading systems, particularly in a middle office environment, where you've managed real-time support and gathered user requirements. You are familiar with trade capture, P&L, and risk-related processes, especially in Rates and FX products. Your ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment is one of your key strengths. You have a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring system stability and accuracy.

Desirable

Experience with middle office operations such as futures & options exercises or bond corporate actions is a plus. Familiarity with Bloomberg terminal functionality will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide comprehensive, real-time application support for Rates and FX trading desks, acting as the system subject matter expert for P&L-related queries. You will perform start-of-day checks, monitoring market data feeds, risk reports, and FIX message flows to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and enhance system functionality. You will gather user requirements and ensure that the trading systems meet the needs of the users effectively. Your role will require you to manage priorities and tasks efficiently, ensuring that you can respond to user needs promptly. You will collaborate closely with trading desks, operations, risk, and technology teams to provide the necessary support and enhancements to the trading systems.
