Overview

GitLab is hiring a Director of Regional Sales for New Business to lead efforts in the DACH region and France. You'll focus on acquiring new customers for GitLab's DevSecOps platform. This role requires strong leadership and sales experience in the software industry.

You have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly in the software industry, with a focus on new business development. Your experience includes building and leading high-performing sales teams, and you excel at driving growth through strategic planning and execution. You understand the nuances of the DACH and French markets and have a strong network within these regions. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, empowering your team to achieve ambitious sales targets.

You are data-driven and comfortable using analytics to inform your sales strategies. You have a deep understanding of the sales process and are skilled at identifying opportunities for improvement. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate the value of GitLab's offerings to potential customers effectively. You are passionate about technology and understand how AI and DevSecOps can transform software development.

What you'll do

As the Director of Regional Sales, you will be responsible for building and leading a dedicated new logo function across the DACH region and France. You will develop and execute a sales strategy that targets first-time customers, leveraging GitLab's open-source and SaaS offerings. You will work closely with the Vice President for New Business to design scalable processes that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. Your role will involve mentoring and developing your sales team, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.

You will collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market needs. Your responsibilities will include setting sales targets, tracking performance metrics, and adjusting strategies as necessary to meet goals.
