You have 4+ years of experience in storage engineering, particularly with Ceph, and a strong understanding of architecting and deploying storage solutions. Your background includes managing large-scale Linux environments, ensuring optimal performance and seamless operations across extensive infrastructures. You possess strong dev/ops skills and enjoy solving complex problems, particularly in open-source projects. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet organizational needs.
Desirable
Experience with other storage technologies or cloud environments is a plus, as is familiarity with scripting languages for automation. You are comfortable with troubleshooting and optimizing storage systems, and you have a keen interest in staying updated with the latest storage technologies and trends.
What you'll do
In this role, you will architect and build Ceph clusters from the ground up, creating robust and scalable storage solutions tailored to GoDaddy's needs. You will help engineer, deploy, and maintain the next generation of Ceph storage technologies, ensuring they meet the demands of object, block, and file workloads. You will play a key role in managing a large-scale Linux environment, collaborating with internal teams on cross-functional projects to ensure that their assets are delivered quickly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will also include scoping and modeling various workloads to deliver custom solutions based on GoDaddy's product offerings.
