Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development. Your background includes extensive experience in partnerships, business development, public policy, or government affairs, particularly within the infrastructure, water, sustainability, or technology sectors. You have successfully led multi-party agreements involving both corporate and governmental entities, showcasing your ability to navigate complex negotiations.
Your preferred qualifications include an MBA, JD, or Master's degree in Public Policy or a related field. You have experience structuring and executing public-private partnerships (PPPs) for infrastructure projects, demonstrating your understanding of the global data center value chain. Your excellent foresight and communication skills enable you to influence and build consensus among executives and government officials, making you a key player in strategic negotiations.
What you'll do
As a Strategic Negotiator at Google, you will work behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future, negotiating everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. You will combine your deep market knowledge with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions that support Google's infrastructure growth. Your role will involve collaborating with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships, and presenting deal recommendations to Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars, and you will serve as a thought leader representing Google in industry forums and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
You will anticipate market trends, shifts, and risks, translating them into proactive partnership opportunities and mitigation strategies. Your ability to operate in a global capacity will be essential as you navigate various cultural and political landscapes, ensuring that Google's infrastructure initiatives align with broader sustainability goals.
