You possess a deep understanding of agreement principles, particularly concerning data rights, Intellectual Property (IP), and privacy, which is crucial for this role.

Your experience working autonomously in dynamic and collaborative environments sets you apart. You have a Master's degree or other advanced qualifications, and you have engaged with academic or scientific research communities, enhancing your ability to connect with diverse stakeholders. Your familiarity with partnerships for AI/ML model training demonstrates your expertise in the field, making you a valuable asset to the Knowledge and Information Partnerships team.

What you'll do

As a Business Development Principal Lead, you will be responsible for strategically sourcing, negotiating, and securing critical third-party data partnerships to power Google Deep Mind's foundational AI models, particularly Gemini. You will act as the key liaison between Google Deep Mind researchers and external global partners, translating complex research needs into actionable data acquisition strategies. Your role will involve managing the end-to-end agreement life-cycle, ensuring that all partnerships align with Google's strategic goals.

You will cultivate stakeholder relationships to align cross-functional teams and ensure agreement execution. Your leadership will refine operational processes to drive pipeline management and overall team workflow efficiency. You will lead discussions for partnerships, navigating business terms, usage rights, and legal/ethical compliance, serving as the primary authority for the team. Your ability to drive agreements through internal reviews will be essential in maintaining Google's high standards for partnership quality and compliance.
