Overview

Google is seeking a Customer Engineer for Google Cloud to facilitate customer interactions and deliver technical solutions. You'll work with cloud native architecture and programming languages like Python and Java. This role requires fluency in English and Korean and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and have at least 1 year of experience with cloud native architecture and development methodologies in a customer-facing or support role. You are proficient in one or more programming languages and have experience delivering technical presentations. Your fluency in English and Korean is essential for effective communication with local stakeholders. You have a strong understanding of public cloud platforms and technical concepts such as AI, Big Data, PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS. You are capable of leading architecture discussions and influencing decision makers around deployment topologies and performance.

Desirable

You have 3 years of experience with cloud native architecture and development methodologies in a customer-facing or support role. You are experienced in developing programs or scripts in Python, Java, C++, and SQL, and have a background in developing software for distributed systems. You have experience building or troubleshooting websites or web applications using web technologies such as HTTP(S), JavaScript, APIs, TCP/IP, and DNS. Your knowledge of the technology industry enhances your ability to assist customers effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will facilitate customer interactions and help educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses adopt Google Cloud products. You will collaborate with customers to drive adoption and guide them through the entire lifecycle of their cloud journey. You will develop solution architectures and road maps to achieve key milestones, ensuring that customers' needs are met effectively. You will also execute prototype workshops to demonstrate proposed architectures and document technical blockers for prioritization with engineering teams. Your role will involve traveling to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, allowing you to engage directly with stakeholders and understand their requirements better.
