This role requires 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture and 5 years in pre-sales management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture, ideally in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes at least 5 years in pre-sales management or leading a technical team focused on AI-related projects. You possess strong skills in cloud engineering, virtualization, and containerization platforms, enabling you to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Your experience includes leading technical conversations, conducting demos, and facilitating workshops that drive customer engagement and satisfaction. You are comfortable traveling up to 50% of the time to meet with clients and partners, ensuring that you can provide the necessary support and guidance.

Desirable

You have a solid understanding of software lifecycles and have experience building tools and architecting scalable, distributed systems, particularly in the context of data platforms and AI/ML infrastructure. Your previous roles have involved managing teams through pre-sales processes, including account mapping, quota setting, and performance management, which has equipped you with the skills to lead effectively.

What you'll do

As a Customer Developing Manager, you will lead a team of subject matter experts who work closely with customers to provide trusted technical and solution advice. Your role will involve developing strategies to accelerate workload migration and remove technical roadblocks, ensuring that customers achieve their goals efficiently. You will balance technical leadership with operational excellence, guiding your team in workload and opportunity review meetings to achieve technical agreements and migration strategies.

You will collaborate cross-functionally across Google and with partners to resolve any technical challenges that arise, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Your ability to engage with technical stakeholders and executive leaders will be crucial in delivering compelling messages and driving business opportunities. You will also be responsible for developing and executing delivery and consumption plans for complex, cross-pillar cloud solutions, ensuring that your team meets customer needs effectively.
