With 8 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, you are skilled in performing statistical analysis and coding in languages such as Python, R, and SQL. You have experience with statistical data analysis, experimental design, and causal inference, which allows you to provide valuable insights to your team.

You are a data-loving member of the team, serving as an analytics expert for your partners. You relish the challenge of translating complex data into meaningful stories that drive decision-making. Your ability to communicate findings effectively to team leaders and stakeholders is one of your key strengths. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineering and product management teams to influence product development.

Desirable

A Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred. You have a strong understanding of Google data structures and metrics, advocating for changes where needed for product development. Your experience with A/B testing and causal inference will be beneficial in driving customer success through data-driven insights.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Scientist in the Customer Engagement Data Science team, you will help drive the idea of how Google Ads builds customer success through a sales and customer intelligence engine. You will develop comprehensive knowledge of Google data structures and metrics, providing insights at scale. Your role will involve building and prototyping analysis and business cases to translate analysis results into actionable business insights or product improvement opportunities.

You will influence across teams to align resources and direction, making critical recommendations for your fellow Googlers in Engineering and Product Management. Your work will directly impact how Google serves its worldwide user base of more than a billion people, creating incremental value for the company. You will be responsible for developing statistical models and conducting experiments to validate hypotheses, ensuring that your insights are data-driven and actionable.

What we offer

Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $156,000 and $229,000, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits.
