Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 5 years of experience in a technical role such as software engineering or solutions consulting. Your expertise includes proficiency in at least one programming language, including Java, Python, Node.js, or Golang, and you have hands-on experience with Google Cloud or similar cloud computing platforms.
You are familiar with Cloud Native infrastructure technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and have a keen interest in generative AI, machine learning, or vector databases. Your ability to take ownership of solutions and influence without authority makes you a valuable asset in collaborative environments.
What you'll do
As a Developer Relations Engineer, you will bridge the gap between developers and the Google Cloud platform, ensuring that the services meet the needs of developers. You will be involved in writing sample code, producing developer documentation, and creating tutorials to enhance the developer experience. Your role will also include providing feedback on API design and platform functionality, ensuring that Google Cloud services are user-friendly and effective.
You will participate in developer forums, troubleshoot developer problems, and release open source code to foster community engagement. Staying up-to-date on industry product launches and developments will be crucial, as you will report relevant findings back to Cloud leadership and collaborate with other teams to drive overlapping initiatives.
