Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, and you have at least 3 years of experience working with data center equipment and environments. Your background includes hands-on experience with switchgear, generators, controls, security monitoring systems, and fire safety systems. You have a solid understanding of facility electrical systems and have managed construction projects in an international working environment. You are skilled in building excellent relationships and are action-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively. You are also willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Electrical Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems within our data centers. You will troubleshoot advanced electrical system events and provide feedback to central partner teams on possible improvements. Your role will involve contributing to the development of cross-project and cross-functional procedures, ensuring alignment of the Electrical Engineers' work with multiple teams and projects. You will also be involved in the startup and commissioning processes, applying your understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry to optimize efficiencies and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.
