Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, along with at least 3 years of experience working in data center environments. Your background includes hands-on experience with electrical systems such as switchgear, generators, and fire safety systems. You have a proven track record of managing construction projects and thrive in international working environments. Your ability to build strong relationships and deliver on action-oriented tasks sets you apart. You possess effective skills in requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and problem-solving.
Desirable
You have a solid understanding of startup and commissioning processes, as well as standard practices in the design and construction industry. Your ability to travel up to 25% of the time is a plus, as it allows you to engage with various teams and projects effectively.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Electrical Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical discipline within data centers. You will troubleshoot advanced electrical system events and escalate complex issues as necessary. Your role will involve contributing to the development of cross-project and cross-functional procedures, ensuring alignment of the Electrical Engineers' work with multiple teams and projects. You will also communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians, optimizing for efficiencies and seeking continuous improvements.
