Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. You have spent at least 3 years developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, and possess experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. Your leadership experience spans at least 3 years in a technical role and 2 years in people management or team leadership. You are well-versed in networking, project management, mentoring, leadership, test infrastructure, and scalability.
You are comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed organization and have a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. You thrive in environments that require both technical expertise and team management, ensuring that your team is equipped to optimize their code and meet project goals.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead the Fabric Routing team's growth to tackle new challenges in capacity, scale, and feature set driven by AI/ML use cases in the software-defined network control plane. You will form a new team focused on enhancing key enabling components such as tooling, testing, and infrastructure. Your role will involve managing project goals, contributing to product strategy, and developing your team to ensure they meet their objectives effectively. You will guide your engineers in optimizing their work while also being hands-on with technical leadership on major projects.
