Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or you have equivalent practical experience. With 2 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, or accounting, you are well-versed in accounting principles and financial planning processes. You have experience using standard finance systems such as SAP and are skilled at influencing and partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Your ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships is a key asset.

You are familiar with modern data visualization tools like Tableau and Looker, and you have experience with SQL or similar query languages. You thrive in changing and ambiguous environments, driving operational efficiencies while articulating financial narratives to executive leadership. Your investigative skills and impeccable business judgment make you a valuable asset to any team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be a critical partner responsible for managing the Profit and Loss (P&L) and driving core financial processes that inform strategic decisions across the Google Play business. Your primary focus will be on Financial Planning and Analysis, where you will drive accurate forecasting and perform insightful variance analysis on Business, COGS, and Operational Expenditure. You will manage standardized monthly and quarterly P&L reporting, translating financial metrics into actionable business insights for executive leaders.

You will also prepare high-quality standardized and ad-hoc reports, assisting in presenting key financial insights to Play leadership and cross-functional partners. As the team's dedicated SAP super user, you will support efficiency projects, partnering with central teams to automate spend management and implement enhancements using AI tools. Your role will be pivotal in developing capital allocation recommendations and ensuring that financial processes align with the strategic goals of the organization.
