Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of experience in supplier management or sourcing. Your background includes experience with supplier management in the compute, storage, networking, or data center infrastructure space, and you have a strong understanding of new product development environments. An MBA or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, as is experience leading new business selection decisions and managing CM partners for PCBAβs and systems.
You possess the ability to manage suppliers in new product introduction and sustaining environments, and you are comfortable working for a global contract manufacturer, OEM, or hyperscale company. Your skills in defining cost drivers, developing cost models, and establishing cost analysis will be crucial in this role. You are adept at leading Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, negotiating agreements, and managing supplier relationships to align with technology, cost, quality, and delivery drivers.
What you'll do
As a Global Manufacturing Partner Manager, you will supply and manage global Contract Manufacturers (CM)/Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) as a key relationship owner. You will focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) and work closely with Product Development teams and Engineers to drive suppliers to deliver on cost and schedule commitments. Your role will involve the development of systems and products in an assigned category, such as Machine Learning, compute, networking, or storage, while understanding Googleβs roadmaps and owning early CM engagements.
You will be responsible for sourcing deliverables and managing CM relationships for the given program. Leading and adding value to large cross-functional projects will be a key part of your responsibilities, as well as understanding and resolving supply chain issues that impact long-term needs. You will define cost drivers, develop cost models, and establish cost analysis to ensure effective supplier management.
