Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and you have at least 3 years of experience working with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and electronic design automation (EDA) methodologies. Your expertise includes physical design flows such as floor planning, place and route, or physical verification, and you are proficient in programming languages like Python or C++. You are eager to be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products.

You may also have a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, which would be a plus. Your experience developing methodologies or flows specifically for 3DIC technology and working with advanced technology nodes will set you apart. You are passionate about shaping the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration.

What you'll do

In this role, you will document and standardize Physical Design CAD (PDCAD) processes for broad team adoption, ensuring that best practices are followed across the board. You will maintain and support automation scripts for PDCAD flows to enhance efficiency and assist in evaluating new EDA tools, particularly for 3DIC flow development efforts. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with design teams to debug flow issues and implement productivity solutions that streamline processes and improve outcomes.
