Who you are
You hold a Bachelorβs degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, and have at least 4 years of experience in a hardware test technical environment. Your background includes experience with AC/DC power design and testing, and you may have a Master's degree or PhD in a related field. You have a year of experience in technical leadership and are familiar with signal integrity, power circuit testing, optical testing, network testing, scripting, and hardware test execution automation using Python. Your proficiency with Linux or other Unix operating systems, such as Ubuntu or RHEL, and shell scripts is strong, and you can read and understand technical drawings like schematics and datasheets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with people management abilities, enable you to coordinate and manage the needs of multiple lab users effectively.
What you'll do
As a Senior Hardware Test Engineer at Google, you will be part of a core team of cross-discipline engineers responsible for defining, implementing, and executing tests for highly complex ML platforms. You will provide integrated software to synchronize test execution on the Device-under-Test (DUT) with external smart measurement instrumentation. Your role will involve collaborating closely with hardware and software designers, as well as test engineers, to ensure project planning and execution coordination within hardware development labs. You will be tasked with ensuring that adequate resources are available and that project milestones are met, contributing significantly to the development of new technologies and hardware that enhance user interaction with computing.
