Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development and programming languages like C or C++. Your background includes 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products, and you have worked with embedded operating systems for at least 5 years. You possess 3 years of experience in software design and architecture, and you have a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms, having spent 8 years honing these skills. In addition, you have 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, where you've led project teams and set technical direction, ideally in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team that develops and integrates the full-stack software that enables Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) to run Artificial Intelligence (AI) computation in Googleβs data centers. You will be involved in the introduction of each new TPU AI server, from design and system bring-up to the productionization of TPU chips, AI servers, and AI hyper-computers. Your responsibilities will include managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while designing and guiding systems within your area of expertise. You will write product or system development code to solve complex problems and ensure best practices are followed throughout the development process. This role offers opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and the business grow and evolve, allowing you to display your leadership qualities and enthusiasm for achieving goals and outcomes.
