Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and at least 7 years of experience designing and building technical systems that utilize relational databases. Your programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ are strong, and you have a proven track record in people management for at least 2 years. You excel in managing projects and presenting to stakeholders, showcasing your excellent communication and leadership skills.
With a Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Applied Science as a preferred qualification, you bring 10 years of experience delivering impact in technical roles. Your background in management consulting, investment banking, or private equity adds to your diverse skill set. You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to formulate data-driven proposals and solve complex problems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the full development life cycle from initial prototyping to launch and maintenance, acting as a 'player-coach' for your team. You will advocate for industry best practices across the technical community, driving advancements in AI-driven workflows, data modeling, and code review. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the seamless delivery and integration of technical solutions, as you work closely with multiple teams to achieve project goals.
You will be responsible for managing and mentoring your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Your ability to navigate complex technical challenges will be essential as you lead initiatives that impact the Incentives Infrastructure at YouTube. You will also be involved in strategic planning and execution, ensuring that projects align with the company's vision and objectives.
