Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, and you have at least 6 years of experience creating 3D CAD models for battery cell internal structures or pack designs. Your background includes 3 years in a technical leadership role, showcasing your ability to guide teams and projects effectively. You possess a deep understanding of mechanical characterization principles and techniques relevant to battery materials and structures, which informs your design decisions. Your proficiency in using 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX, allows you to bring innovative designs to life. You are familiar with designing for manufacturability and assembly, ensuring that your designs are not only functional but also practical for production.

Desirable

A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred, as it demonstrates a higher level of expertise. Experience with various battery cell chemistries and structures, such as winding and stacking, will further enhance your ability to inform design decisions and ensure compatibility across different battery technologies.

As the Mechanical Design Lead, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge battery designs that power Google's consumer electronics.
